Organisation of CODE

The organisational structure of CODE envisaged here focuses on chapters small enough for a leader to maintain personal contact with all its paying members, but large enough to include the personal resources to cover all areas of CODE operation and also to exercise by itself a significant representative community presence. Two hundred members is the rough amount envisaged for a chapter, bearing in mind the objective that between them the chapters in any centre should place every member of the community in direct or indirect with CODE. Social media will today facilitate this.

The apparently trivial figure of $10 per year per member for each of 200 members might be enough to cover costs for a chapter leader, who in what I take to be this minimal payment situation would provide their labour for nothing. I imagine it will be common in many communities to pay leaders at a rate which will provide a higher level of service. Chapters would of course collaborate. The processes of chapter formation and wider organisation are recorded here. The principle of even a token payment creating the proper professional obligation is discussed elsewhere.
